Yash, for those of us who will absolutely not go the steroid route again this definition is invalid. And mild exacerbations don't require hospitalization. As with so many other MS issues, this definition needs a new look. Most of my exacerbations have been very mild, symptoms that come and go, but gradually build up damage. For many people this is the case. This points out (again) the difficulties encountered in trying to define, or even discuss and compare, the manifestations of MS.

Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Pseudo/Real attack

Many clinical trials define relapses as incidents requiring hospital admission or i.v. steroids.Yash
