A lesson in whole foods for Duncan - a whole food grows in nature, you

can pick it off a tree, or harvest it from your garden, and you can

eat it as is.

Yes, algae has been dried and encapsulated for ease of consumption.

But you could go to the lake and pick it out of the water and eat it.

It's a whole food.

So - I picked a few products that you mentioned or are from your

website that are not whole foods to try to teach you what a real whole

food is.

Inulin is not a whole food - it is an extracted (isolated) substance

usually from chicory root, or synthesized from sucrose. You CAN find

inulin naturally in foods such as asparagus, garlic, Jerusalem

artichokes, onions, garlic, bananas. (Those are whole foods, by the

way.)

Whey concentrate is not a whole food - is is isolated from milk. Even

on your website you call it " whey isolate " .

Selenium is not a whole food - it is one mineral of many that we need.

Only after a mineral has gone through the plants root system or

folial membranes, is it then in the proper form for ingestion.

(Meaning - eat the plant, not isolated substances, to get your minerals.)

Cod Liver Oil is not a whole food - it is extracted from a cod's liver.

When you isolate compounds from a natural substance, you lose the

synergy of the whole plant. If we continue to mess with our food

chain - making isolated/synthetic substances that pass as " nutritional

supplements " supplements " <WBR>, then our health will eventually suffer

In one of your messages you said that plants make their own vitamins,

but then in another message you say that selenium is not found in

Brazil nuts unless it is in the water. So are Brazil nuts the only

food that doesn't make their own vitamins, or are you just trying to

confuse us?

And by the way Duncan, I am very offended at your remark of me being

full of b******* - and I'm not even someone who is an " international

friend " - I live in the U.S.

Sorry, but I do not have any myths you can bust.

Hi Duncan .. I wonder what those doc's would say about the " issue " whereby a

tubal ligation or hysterectomy took place? Doesn't that stop the " natural "

processing of the needed hormones? Would you still advocate " rounds " of the

anti-aging program .. in a situation such as this? OR .. to continue on

indefinitely?

In my thinking (and I know I'm ignorant on this) because of the surgical

procedure on the female productive parts .. the natural processing can't take

place. If we take the somalife gHP for the 12 (or is it 18?) months, for

someone with one of these type of previous surgical issues .. would you still

say

to go off of it for a period of time?

Just curious ..

Thanks!

Glory

Hi Sol, no I haven't had any clients who explored the additional

benefits that tinkering with hormonal levels might have yielded. I

think it's because we in Canada have trouble getting doctors to say

you have low total hormonal values for a young adult as opposed to

adequate hormonal values for one's age group. In other words they have

no interest in optimization unless they are specialists.

On the pituitary recovery question, this is well known by and oft-

mentioned by anti-aging doctors in terms of HGH secretion, and I can

point to people not needing more than a two-year program, after which

they are producing hormonal values that are apparently within a more

youthful if not optimal range for the individual because they are 10-

12 years younger by all other health and sex markers, and stay that

way when the program is discontinued.

Contacting Dr. Ron Meyers, Dr. Philip White, or Dr. MacLeod on

the SomaLife advisory panel would give you that information from the

horse's mouth as they all operate anti-aging clinics and have sen

thousands of patients for treatment.

It's high salt and low K that causes the rhab... but I can appreciate

that you may present a uniqueness that' not shared by 99% and that's

OK. Some people eliminate salt very efficiently.

Hi Duncan .. I wonder what those doc's would say about the " issue " whereby a

tubal ligation or hysterectomy took place? Doesn't that stop the " natural "

processing of the needed hormones? Would you still advocate " rounds " of the

anti-aging program .. in a situation such as this? OR .. to continue on

indefinitely?

In my thinking (and I know I'm ignorant on this) because of the surgical

procedure on the female productive parts .. the natural processing can't

take

place. If we take the somalife gHP for the 12 (or is it 18?) months, for

someone with one of these type of previous surgical issues .. would you

still say

to go off of it for a period of time?
