REGARDING MANNATECH AND ALL DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS:

Be careful, everyone! While some of these supplements can be very helpful ,

please remember you are dealing with a very fragile immune system and what

seems innocuous may in fact cause an immune system reaction. From experience,

I was very happy to find a Mannatech product to help my son have " fruits and

vegetables " in an easy-to-take product. Guess what? His eosinophill count

skyrocketed!!! I mean, he was off the chart! So please approach all dietary

supplements with caution, and remember to tell Dr. Goldberg when you use them

so that when he calls for blood work, you and he will be able to ascertain if

there is a negative reaction. Becky

They sell mostly glyconutrients and phytonutrients, all good things for our

kids. To see more about the science go to www.glycoscience.com and then

head over to the main web page. They are at www.mannatech-inc.com . I have

a very good paper that explains some of this too, I will head it over to

you, written by an associate in Mannatech.

You are quite correct. Herein lyes the secret to all success in our

children, know our weaknesses and strengths, what should be worked on or

left alone. In regards to phytonutrients, KIDS WITH PST should not be

ingesting on a daily basis sulphar bearing vegees. I would bet dollars to

donuts your kid has all the sings of PST. Herein is also a secret, some

kids need the sulphar bearing vegees, so, yes, know your kids.

Absolutely. I agree. I think despite difference of opinions, most can

at least agree that each child is different even if they have the

exact same dx. Because of this, what might help one may be the exact

thing that really messes up another. Go figure.. I wish it wasn't

like

that. If all our kids were exactly the same, then we could just write

a generic rule book; Don't use this because it will do that... Do use

this because it helps this and so forth. Wouldn't that be grand? It

never hurts to dream, right? :0)

The test was just part of my son's routine CBC. The reason I concluded that

it was likely the Mannatech supplement was because this was the only change

we had done, and once we removed it from his diet, the eosinophil count

returned to normal. Becky

Written by an associate of Mannatech sets off buzzers for me. Written by an

objective third party who gets no financial gain would be preferable. Peer

review would be another nice word but then who would be the peers? There is

a lot of snake oil out there and if your child is already on the

protocol are you jeopardizing results by stimulating the immune system or if

your child is not are you just wasting time by running from one so called

treatment to another? There is a lot to be said for the scientific method and

research. True it takes time but what about outcome here? Kathy R

Thank you Ralph for the comments on an alternative for Mannatech products, that are also glyconutrients.

Comment....I went to Dallas this past April...I talked with many reps.from Mannatech...I started the products...and I talked with persons, who have MS who have done amazingly well.

Personally,it has been expensive....if I could find an alternative,I would.

Question...I went to the prescribed web site...yet I did not find information on how to order, nor prices, nor listing of the available products. Can anyone, can you Ralph, help?

Thank you..blessings,

Jon Sayers,Columbus,Ohio SPMS
