Guest guest
This is wonderful news Kid ! You are very industrious! IF you really LOVE computer work and Pharmacy BOTH there will surely be a place for you in the field of creating and managing software systems for pharmacy. You may even 'invent' one! Why not? others have! In addition you will be a GREAT assset to any pharmacy as a tech or pharmacist BECAISE of your computer background. Right now you are seeking part time work. Contact Annette to see if she has any contacts for McKesson in your area. She may not know of a job opening at the moment but she may have a contact person. Also try an agency for pharmacy personnel. they are always looking for parttime workers. You may also try to volunteer at a hospital pharmacy. With selling yourself, your computer abilities AND if you know your trade/generics especially your controlled substances you just may get your foot inthe door. by asking to volunteer and to learn, you just may open the door to get hired. Please keep us posted. Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Founder/Owner kid_erin <erina@...> wrote: I passed. Now onto the job hunting. Currently I have a full time sysadmin/software testing job and I'd like to do nights/weekends/as needed pharm tech work for a while and eventually transition full time into a hospital setting and hopefully the employer will pay for pharmacy school. The St. Louis Community College system has an agreement with SIUE's School of Pharmacy which allows you to take your pre-reqs and they are fully transferrable, so I'm probably going to be taking classes starting in January.
