Guest guest
Well he did say if I found that there were uncomfortable side effects then to stop taking it! He also claimed it was a very well accepted and benign drug! Benign my a@@ I was starting to fall down again felt sick and I never had leg tremors before, I don't have them now either since I quit. I guess I can put up with the spasms they are not that bad and don,t cause pain just a hesitation in my walking upon getting up. Guest guest
Thanks so very much for that info. Friday. I just wish this guy, that is supposed to be a specialist, would have to try out some of his medicines that he is so fast to prescribe! Now I understand why my brother quit walking so soon after starting on Baclofen.(I wonder how much they gave him) After reading your story I will start on one quarter of a pill three times a day.(I did tell him that I wanted to start out slow) I always was very succeptable to drugs as my experience with Imuran showed me. All I want to do is stop the leg spasms which happen when I stand up,or lately when I swing my left leg up onto my couch where I rest. There is also times during the day that my left arm feels like it is encased in a cast, stretching only relieves it a little. I now have started to get painful Charlie horses in my calves also during a spasm. This is why I thought I might try the Baclofen, heck except for the Ldn I am not on anything else for my M.S. I can't give my health care system that much of a break now can I? Thanks for now Reg. -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: 07/20/04 18:10:43 low dose naltrexone Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: For Reg (Baclofen ) Reg, when it comes to Baclofen, I have alot of experience - 15 years infact. It is a strong drug which must be weaned into our bodies slowly. This is the best way to tolerate it - 2 weeks at 5mg, 3 times a day (never 2 times a day because that would be too many hours in between giving the muscles time to stiffen up and spasm again). Then Friday ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
