Guest guest
Dear All, I was sent this information which I was already aware of. But I may add that APhA has a 2012 deadline for their recommendations. 2015 Initiative: Call for Comments Goal 4 Increase the extent to which pharmacy departments in health systems have a significant role in improving the safety of medication use. No Proposed Changes Objective 4.5 Current Obj: 85% of pharmacy technicians in health systems will be certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. No Proposed Changes NEW Objective 4.6 New Obj: 50% of pharmacy technicians in health systems will have completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician training program. Reason for Change: Technician training goals are consistent with ASHP Long-Range Vision for the Pharmacy Workforce in Hospitals and Health-Systems. ASHP 2015 Initiative: Call for Comments ASHP is soliciting comments on proposed revisions to several objectives of the ASHP 2015 Initiative. Members are invited to review and make comments on the proposed changes as well as provide other comments on the 2015 Initiative. Comments on the changes will be accepted through Thursday, January 31. Here is the link: http://ashp.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_3qpjBIhy2Uan2oQ & SVID=Prod I do not know if this call for comments is for PUBLIC or if it is for ASHP members only. Does anyone know? Jeanne?
