Guest guest
Amigo Boy, Only in America! PTCB has created a perpetual money machine that enjoys the fact that no one really can stop paying fees associated as to do so would be indicative of that individual as not being qualified to be a Pharmacy Technician. No payment, no national certification. Generally I am specific to our own national organization, NPTA, Of which the three that run this non-profit organization appear to actually profit greatly off of our vocation in the name of serving it. But, they at least can see loss of individuals members if word spread out and individual members wanted answers. Of course, that is not the case, so they too can enjoy the financial success that can be found only in America! Joe Medina, CPhT, BS Pharmacy ------------ One perk, obviously, is 5 pharmacist organizations having near-total control over setting state licensing requirements which require techs to pay what could be seen as " patronage " to PTCB -- and receiving 20% on the back end. Techs just need to be aware of these things and not afraid to question the status quo. The quality of the discussion will never rise to the level it needs to if techs are ignorant of how others may profit from them.
