Guest guest
As far as I know I have never had mono. But then I didn't know I had MS until I was 54 yr old and my nuro refers to it as advanced MS.

Guest guest
I'm still clueless as to how mono and epstein barr? fits in with my situation and know that growing up, even after being diagnosed with MS, i've never had any illnesses. No head aches, never been tested positive for STD's, never had cold sores or achne/pimple problems. No hay fever, severe flu, except in my 6th year with MS, I had a nasty cough/bronchitis which lasted 3 months. I had one ear infection because i wrongly used an ear-bud too far into the canal and had recovered after 1 week of installing ear drops. I just dont remember ever being sick, an my mother always tells me I was a very strong healthy child and teenager. To this day, I've never been admitted to hospital for any reason. The only health problem I've had is MS and the fatigue/paralysis it causes. I remain totally mistified to the circumstances surrounding my MS onset, but I have my own theory on that. Diet and stress before my first symptoms - I did a stupid starvation diet to lose weight quickly to impress a boy at age 20, and depleted my body of all nutrients. That's my cause - Im sure of it.
