Jim

I called a lab the first time to get some paperwork and then had to have my doc draw the blood and send in to the lab for testing.

The second time I had it done by a doctor who practices both traditional and natural medicine, she already had the paperwork and depending on what is being tested (there are different panels) determined the cost.

It was not covered by my insurance b/c I don't think it's recognized by them.

The name of the lab is Great Smokies Diagnostics I went through. They sent me a list of doctors in my area that did the testing. I don't have a phone number but you can do a search for them.

Hope this helps if you can't ffind a doc otherwise.

I asked Great Smokies a few years ago for a list of doctors in this area who use them. They never responded. I'll try again...

Hi again!

, & Arlene,

Thanks for the answer back. I'll just give a call to my doc's nurse and ask her, to ask him to include

the uric acid testing on my upcoming blood test and physical., and also ask her to ask him, whew!,

if he can do the test or at least recommend someplace here to do it. Thanks again.

----Off topic---

Hey , I'm in your boat now...my GP is moving to greater "Georgia" and I'm also going to have

to find a good doc here in town. Jim Foxx is supposed to be pretty decent and knows his

wife through church soooo, if the group he works for accepts our insurance, I'll give him a try.

yak at ya later.

----, my wife and I would like to get copies of your books, I'll e-mail you off group if you don't

mind to discuss it.

----Arlene, thanks for the information about Great Smokies Diagnostics, I'll do a search for them if I can't

get the test done here.

Thanks again to all those who responded and thanks group for your patience!

Have a Great Day,

Jim(ms)
