what a difference an extension cord makes

I wanted to report that I've plugged my refrigerator into a different

outlet,

because the outlet behind the fridge uses wires that go right under the

bedroom. I am sleeping quite a bit better now (but still wake up when the

fridge

comes on, but I'm able to get back to sleep).

My fridge manual says the extension cord should be

rated for 10 amps. If you can get a twisted one, even better.

You can trace where the wires go by plugging in an electric heater and

tracing

with a gauss meter.

Ideally, getting the walls rewired with 12/3 romex (which is twisted) or

lessEMF's fancy

cables, such that the wires stay away from the bedroom would be best.
