Freezing peas and tomatoes

Last year, a neighbour gave ma a lot of produce from her garden: peas, beans and chard - more than I could manage before it would have gone off. I picked out all the peas who's pods looked brown, thinking that it would be no terrible loss if my experiment didn't pay off, and put them in a plastic bag in the freezer. Several months later I thawed them out, hulled them, and they were delicious! Might be a useful tip for someone. Another thing that I do (being rather lazy) is to wash my excess tomatoes, dry them, and place a whole pile of them in plastic bags in the freezer. I use them in all my soups, stews and spaghetti's. Just holding the frozen tomato under the hot tap causes the skin to crack, and it's easy to peel it off and toss the toms in the pot. and the K9's
