AAPT Announcement Re: National Pharm Tech Day

The Pharmacy Technician Day is celebrated by ALL pharmacy associations.

The American Association of Pharmacy Technicians has had the

following posted on their site (http://www.pharmacytechnician.com)

since August 2008 (possibly longer):

NATIONAL PHARMACY TECHNICIAN DAY

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2008

The first National Pharmacy Technician Day was 1991. The Congressional

Record of July 16, 1991 contains a note about Technician Day, and the

theme in 1991 was " Technician Recognition. " This year we are

celebrating the 18th annual Pharmacy Technician Day.

Along with Pharmacy Technician Day being recognized on the National

level, many technicians have gotten their State legislators to

recognize National Pharmacy Technician Day. We encourage you to do

the same.

The theme for National Pharmacy Technician Day 2008 is:

EDUCATING PHARMACY TECHNICIANS:

CHALLENGE FOR TODAY,

STRATEGY FOR TOMORROW

I am glad to hear that the Arkansas governor declared the day very

special for ALL pharmacy technicians.
