Dear Mr. Goldberg,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I would be honored to " work together " ! I

would LOVE to collaborate with you and enlighten others on various

alternative methods that can be used and incorporated into Western medicine.

I also would like to thank you for all the CFS information available on your

site. For obvious reasons, my focus is on any topic dealing with CFS and

related illnesses. You have indicated your intent to explore and include

information on Apitherapy and BVT on your web site and magazine -- I'm

thrilled! It will be my pleasure to assist you on this mission. I am

convinced that others will benefit, as I have, with any knowledge on the

safe and effective use of Apiththerapy and BVT that you are willing to

provide. The use of BVT in CFS is virtually unknown among PWCs. I have

recently begun to speak about my experience to the CFS community on the

internet by posting information on my success with bee venom. I also

disseminate information to them ,and anyone else that is interested, about

the MS, Lyme and cancer research presently being conductedt using bee venom,

and provide sources to scientific information that is available for them to

investigate further.

I have posted information about you, your web site,

www.alternativemedicine.com and magazine on the CFS list I belong to. As I

previously mentioned, it is very active -- a lot of very wise, compassionate

and informed PWCs seeking altenative/medical treatments -- sharing their

medical research -- questioning the origins of this ubiquitous disease --

searching for answers etc.. Some members are familiar with your work.

Members have expressed an interest in having you as a guest speaker on a

chat site Ken Lassensen ( PWC/computer wizard/moderator) has set up for

weekly guests. Last Sunday, Regush , ABC investigative medical

correspondent and author of the recently released book, The Virus Within,

was our guest speaker -- topic: HHV6 and related stealth viruses that may

be responsible, and have the potential to cause a host of chronic illnesses

and cancers.

Ken has given me a tentative date of Sunday, March 26, 6PM PST, 9PM EST if

you're available. Mea culpa for the short notice! Other pressing matters

prevented me from extending this invitation to you sooner. This date is

available at the moment; however, we're flexible on date/time if you're

willing to share your knowledge and insights with us. Any Sunday in the near

future is preferred to ensure a bigger audience. Format is set up so that

speaker can view the questions from the audience and is free to choose the

one he/she wishes to answer. For more information search

www.cpts.com/townhall/default.asp. We would be honored if you accept our

invitation.

Regards,

Rauhofer

Hi, all,

I'm writing from Washington, where I attended the hearing with everyone else

yesterday. This was my first time meeting so many who are involved in this

issue, and when I phoned home last night to check in, my report was that

this is an amazing and wonderful group of people. For those of you unable

to join us, you should take great reassurance in the depth of commitment

here, the sheer amount of intelligence and talent among our ranks, and the

compassion shared. I'm so glad I came.

There is one small bit of news from my corner of things - we're renaming the

Anthrax Family Network, and now calling it the Anthrax Vaccine Network, to

make it more compatible with its new URL - you can now find the entire

strategic plan of action at this site: http://www.anthraxvaccine.net --

This is the group we are forming to be a national, grass-roots political

action group, where we can all take some kind of action, no matter how

small, in our own communities. Keep the idea of a steam-roller in your

heads - we want to build up such a wave of grass-roots support across the

country that it steam-rolls, and becomes bigger and bigger, and more and

more persistent, so that in time, there's no ignoring us or our message.

Sonnie Bates, Gloria Graham and I are forming the first Board of Directors.

We aren't entirely legally incorporated yet, but are quite close to it -

we're going through the final paperwork now. For those of you, and for your

families and friends, who have thought, " I want to be more involved, but I

don't know what to do, " this plan - and the revision of it I'll do this

weekend when I get home to Montana - will give you those specific ideas and

issues you can deal with on your own level, in your own community. Every

single tiny thing helps.

I have never in my life before run across an issue so thoroughly corrupt at

its core. None of our sons and daughters, husbands and wives, or loved

ones, who voluntarily put on the uniform of their country, to defend this

country and all it stands for, should have to defend themselves against

their own government.

Thank you all who have indicated interest in joining the network and taking

action - and I'll be in touch with your directly, and soon.

With kind regards,

Kathy Hubbell

Mc,

I went to Fox Valley, that little school in Van Buren County. I

lived about 20 miles from Bloomfield. I graduated in 1987, class of

20 people. Back then I was the same height as I am now (5'11 " ) but

about 140-145 lbs and probably around 6% body fat. I was a runner in

track and cross country. Now I am at 173 lbs and about 150 lbs of

lean muscle mass.

I bet no one at my school would recognize me now. Probaby remember

me as a skinny guy. I was too skinny then. Thank god for maturity

and gaining some weight. I would love to go back to a reunion this

year to see everyone there. It is interesting to see how people

change (for the better or worse) and it might give me some motivation.

I am currently in week 4. I started on March 1st, but didn't really

start eating strictly BFL until March 8th. Last week I had lost 4

lbs of something from beginning the program and 2 inches off my

waist. I have not measured my bodyfat since the first week since I

want to see a big change. My free day and end of my 4th week is this

Wednesday and I am going to measure my body fat on that day to see if

I have gained any muscle or if I have just lost fat. I will let you

know.

Thanks for asking!

Jewel,

I'm not a distributor or anything, like you, have only been on the program 8 weeks now, but if I hadn't seen any progress yet, I would still give it about 3-6 months before I made any decision. Hang in there (especially if you have stuff around the house.)

I doubt there's any one product out there that works great for everybody, but why waste time and money trying them all??

Good luck! I wish you the best..

Terri

Try them all to see which one works for you and when you find out what works for you, you stick with it.

The point is that it isn't important whether you (or anybody) agree or

disagree. The point is that there is a right way and a wrong way. Not

trying to be ornery here, just distinguishing that people often disagree,

even when there are guidelines established by an authority.

I've also wondered about the adrenal connection. Particularly for women, since for many of us the MS issue becomes more serious during peri and menopause. The long term hormone imbalances we experience can exhaust the adrenals, heaven knows what odd consequences follow...

I never considered myself an alcoholic, but have a whole family full of them. Virtually all my aunts and uncles on my mother's side. So when I noticed how often I was drinking, and how my body responded to it I quit. If I hadn't had their fine example of how not to be I probably would not have recognized what was happening.

I am interested in investigating mannose and other glyconutrients as well. I have not looked into the information much, but gathered some links and books that may be informative. Maybe you will find these useful: Glycobiology is the field of science which studies glyconutrients. Some of the sugars studied under this field include: Mannose, Xylose, Fructose, Nacetylneuraminic acid, Nacetyl glucosamine, Nacetylgalactosamine, and Galatose. This field studies all sugars present on the surface of cells

and within nature. PDR lists Glyconutrients as being useful for compromised immune systems Harper’s Biochemistry bk mentions info about glyconutrients such as mannose. Among other statements, it says that glyconutrients are essential and likes mannose. Lloyd center makes an injectable form of mannose: Ace

mannon 97% Ambertose supposedly modulates the immune system and acts as an antioxidant through increased cell to cell communication. Google searches: Here is the link to the ‘Oxford Glycobiology Institute” http://www.bioch.ox.ac.uk/glycob/ Link to the Society for Glycobiology: http://www.glycobiology.org/ Glycobiology Journal articles: http://glycob.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/search?fulltext=aloe http://glycob.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/search?fulltext=mannose Here is a link to an article in Science Magazine on glyconutrients: http://www.sciencemag.org/feature/data/carbohydrates.dtl http://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3637 Sugars That Heal - Dr. Emil I. C. Somersall, PhD, MD I also have an uncle who used the Mannatech products for several years. About a year after he stopped using them he developed a strange painless target-like rash on one of this arms which has yet to be definitively diagnosed. The rash was spreading up his arm and was quite angry looking. It was theorized to be a reaction to remnants of a bullet which became lodged in his hand after a hunting accident 10 years ago. He is negative for ANA, RF and other autoimmune markers, biopsy did not reveal any further assistance. He is being treated with Lupus medications which appear to be keepng the rash from re-appearing. I know he has a lot of GI issues (heartburn, esophageal ulcers and probably more I do not know of) and continues to eat a SAD diet. It makes sense to me that a GI issues may be related to his skin issue, but that is all I know about his case. I bring this up because I

wonder what role the Mannatech products may have played in this health. Were they suppressing an issue he had, keeping it at bay, or did they play a part in the development? Tanis Kleckler, ND5 NCNM
