Ehm ... any tips are welcome ofcourse, but in the meantime I will go

on with our own path. I think with us it is beginning to get clear

what the problems are, and how we could solve it best. My post was

more adressed to share what helped for us. I hope that with Jos we

will be able to prevent the next cycle. But any info would help to

help me understand this disease in all it's lights, I'm very

interested in that.

Yes, his CH is due to an accident, he seems to have a lot of

scartissue in his head. This makes it complicated ofcourse. He has

had many regular treatments, and meds, but he stopped that quite

abruptly about 8 years ago. He did have osteopathy, that was a good

thing , but didn't prevent the clusters. He also tried acupuncture,

didn't help for his clusters. There is a main problem in the neck

area where the important ganglions are, there are some vertebrae

grown together, this can't be helped anymore unfortunately.

In our case, I think it is a combination of some kind of problem in

the body, not being able to convert the essential amino-acid

tryptophane to 5HTP (I'm trying to correct that with homeopathic

remedies now), then combined with too much alcohol, smoking (he quit

now), too little vitamins and minerals (especially vitamine B and

vanadium). Any tips on WHY a body could not convert tryptophane is

very welcome, because that's a riddle for me yet. It could be that

the lack of vanadium plays a part. He has been on 5HTP for a while,

and this did him a lot of good, but I am somewhat reluctant to give

that for a long time, the receptors could get used to it in my

opinion. I would rather be able to correct the step that MAKES the

problem, and this seems to be about tryptophane. So I'm trying to

work on that.

I had a hair analysis done, and this showed the bad mineral status.

He didn't have ANY trace of vanadium, nothing at all. What that

means, I don't exactly know but I do know he reacts on vanadium, both

the mineral and the homeopathic variant. He was also high on phosphor

(logical, due to his alcohol intake and bad food pattern) and low on

calcium/magnesium, and as a whole on other minerals. Also he had too

much aluminium, cadmium, plumbum and arsenic (he's been working with

that substances).

This combined with other stuff I found, I am trying to do something

about this all. He's on a diet now with essential fatty acids

(including linnseedoil), vegatables, and less meat. Dieting is hard

for him though, and I didn't have the idea that he's allergic to some

substances (not sure ofcourse but we had him tested). He gets a low

dose of melatonine to correct his sleeping pattern, homeopathics to

balance out the other problems. He's taking vitamine B-complex and a

mineral supplement which holds vanadium, lithium and other trace

elements. I am trying for him to get rid of the toxic substances. And

we do a herbal treatment.

In a year we will know if this has been enough to help make him

strong and balanced enough to prevent the next cycle! I really really

REALLY hope so!

Suzanne, if it is allright could you send on my mail in which I

explaned more in detail what helped for us? I was hoping to hear from

you.
