Reg That's good to hear! Was this the first time you were able to do this? How long was it before the neuropathic pain stopped? Can you remind us of how long you've had MS? Guest guest
Arleen I know you only asked three questions but............ That was the first time in five years or more that I walked with some idea that M.S. can be beat! I have had M.S. since I was twenty five, was married four years then and was raising a family of four boys( well my wife was anyway) as I was finishing college and on the road with my job.It was 1981 when I had the first episode of double vision tingling and L'Hermettes. Also very sensitive to bright lights.Still it was only [possible MS] according to the Drs. I was busy working mostly away from home, on farms repairing sileage equipment. After a nearly fatal accident in 1996 the M.S. set in but good and I got the nueropathic pain near the end of 2002, so I guess I put up with M.S.for most of my life now. I have never been able to do some of the things that even now my children do.I was allways such a klutz, As I tell everyone it was only three days or so before the nueropathic pain left, four days before I wasn,t runnin to the can every fifteen minutes.About two weeks and I could pour coffee with my left hand again. And all the rest have just been gravy! This morning I am dead beat and I do mean dead!I find that I don,t have to lay down at all during the day now,you see things just sneak in and before you know it something else has improved and you just accepted that as normal. We have just had a large garage sale for the last two days and boy does that wear you out! If you would have told me just last year that I would be doing a garage sale again I would not have believed you, well to be fair my wife did most of the work. I hope this answers your questions also I started right off on 4.5mgs then experimented till I found out that 3.0mgs is best for me, this took about six months to accomplish but now I am not so stiff(just manageable)and I never wake up at night anymore. I NEVER FORGET TO TAKE MY L.D.N. AT NIGHT, EVER!
