Guest guest
, Welcome home! I hope the trip was terrific. Too short, I am sure. Lots to tell you. I had mono in 1973. hmmm... coincidence? White blood cells take a beating. Starting " novantrone " next. Lowers white blood cell count again. Chemo for secondary progressive MS. I told you I retired from teaching to take this illness on. Bring it on. Guest guest
Liz, hi, I am so sorry to hear you've got mono. I hope you'll take good care of yourself during this time. I know you'll miss riding, but just think how great it will feel when you DO ride again! I also hope this doesn't slow down your grad studies too much. ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
Gretchen, I'm doing okay, I just feel like a big slug. I've had it for (I think) two and a half weeks, although I was only just diagnosed last week. I'm tired of being sick. In ways, I feel like a prisoner in my own body, because even when my mind is alert, my body doesn't want to do anything. I've made it to work most days, and they are pretty understanding if I need to go home and sleep. My boyfriend has been driving me to school, because otherwise I wouldn't make it. He deserves a gold medal for all of this, he's been really great. Anyway, I'm trying to actually get to work today and be semi-productive, so i'd better go get ready. It takes me a lot longer now!
