Guest guest
I'll see if I can remember each question: State: South Dakota dx in 1985 (I'm sure I had it long before dx'ed) Meds: baclofen (1 3x a day, 3 at night) but have been able to cut down since on LDN;detrol extended release; zanaflex have been on disability retirement from teaching for 3 years (and on SS Disability) I guess a person could say the MS forced my retirement, but I think it was because I worked for a principal who refused to give me the accommodations that the ADA demanded, plus he tried to make it look I wasn't doing my job..that's another story.. Other health problems: mitral valve prolapse (something I inherited from my dad) for which I take 240 mg. of verapamil; osteoprosis; of course, allergies Since I retired, I've been mentoring language arts teachers in the school where I taught. I love doing this, because I can help others with the training I have and not have to be in the classroom. Sometimes this turned into an almost full-time job last year. I also love to read and my husband and I visit our grandchildren whenever we can. I try to exercise every day; I have a cardioglide which I try to go on every day. This also helps with the muscle spasms. I also try to exercise with dumb bells and ankle weights whenever I have the get up and go.. I think a large portion of my coping comes from keeping a positive attitude and relying on the Lord to handle whatever comes my way. It's nice to meet you.
