NMSS CONNECTION

Almost ANY large law firm has lawyers that do Medical Malpractice

and product liability in their firms. The main goal of the NMSS is

FUNDRAISING!!! They don't give a rat's ass (pardon my french) about

the patients. But...all they are interested in is the almighty $$$

when it really comes down to it. When the first ABC drug came out on

the market,. which was Betaseron, the NMSS really had nothing to do

with it. All they are is a fund-raiser non-profit organization that

really doesn't give a rip about US! The people who serve on the

boards of their local chapters are doing it voluntarily. The support

staff who work in the offices doing mass mailings and organizing are

paid, but for the most part, the professionals you see listed are

doing it to be seen in their respective communities. There really

isn't much of a relationship between the NMSS and the drug

companies, other than the drug companies use the NMSS to get their

mailing lists to do Webcasts and local meetings through

them.Soo....if you feel the NMSS isn't really supporting LDN

therapy, it's probably because the company who manufactures LDN has

not tried to start any type of a relationship with the NMSS.

Well said Jody! Sounds like you've been involved on non-profit boards

before. If you can't raise money in some form, your of little use. LDN does

not come from a big pharmaceutical's?) firm with major players including

attorneys making big dollars. That's one of the reasons I believe it's an

unknown in the MS community. It works, it's cheap but that's way to simple

for many. . Lol Just my thoughts
