Guest guest
Hi Gloria: There are risks to the B-cell depletion treatment. I believe a few people have died, but it was like six people out of thousands who received this drug (the main drug used is called Mabthera). I for one would be willing to take the risk if I was really suffering from the RA and was seeing joint damage. But as long as I'm managine OK on the RA SPES, I am content to wait for more research. I do have a strong feeling this may be the treatment of the future. Anyway, I will keep the group updated when I hear more. Guest guest
Dear Rhonda, Thanks for the information. How much does it cost to use RA SPES, and where do you get it? How does it work and does it prevent damage? Does it attack the immune system? How long have you been using it, and do you take other drugs as well? Thanks, Gloria
Guest guest
Don't stop trying, Bill. Congressmen know their constituents also vote. And, in the world of advertising and marketing, it's an old truth that it takes at least 5 repitions of a message before it's heard, let alone absorbed and understood. Add to that the capacity we all have to be in denial - and persistence becomes key. Guest guest
Hi Kristie, We first noticed OCD symptoms with my daughter Sullivan at age 4. I was in alot of denial and afraid the only option was drug therapy which terrified me. When Sullivan's symptoms disappeared for almost a year, I thought I had overreacted in the first place and it had been just a " stage " she was going through. Here we are at age 7 and finally getting treatment. CBT with ERP by a wonderful therapist she really clicks with. I know now that there were ways that Sullivan could have been treated as young as 4 if I hadn't been so naive. I am so happy to hear that your son has been diagnosed and you are already hooked up with a therapist. I'll bet the therapist can help you as a family cope with his OCD syptoms and give you the tools to help even if your son can't cmmunicate his anxieties to the dr. I am so glad you found this group. In a very short period it has helped me soooooo much. I'm on the right track and so are you. It's patience, preservierance (?) love, and support. Sounds like you're there. Good luck Anne in SantaBarbara

I wasn't ignoring your post. I read it but dont have any feedback on shin splints as I, fortunately, dont have a problem with them. I would think the recumbant bike might be a good cardio method if you have knee problems as it takes the pressure off those joints. That's the bike where you sit back and peddle in front. Most fully equiped gyms have them but they are hard to find for home use.

We finally had her tested for heavy metal toxicity and strangely enough it wasn't mercury that came back high, but several others did. Guest guest
Carroll We've seen improvement in Charlie's cognitive function and seizure frequency since starting him on 3T flaxseed oil , 3T ground flaxseed well mixed into homemade yoghurt daily. This is a fine source of omega-3 fatty acids without the risk of heavy metal contamination that can be found in fish oils. This, like his other AEDs, is an every day thing. Seeds are just smaller nuts. mjh In a message dated 8/15/02 1:50:18 PM Eastern Daylight Time, writes: > > Dear Lori, > I use flaxseed oil on a fairly regular basis, but I haven't noticed any > difference with my seizures, pro or con. Guest guest
Dear Marilyn, Good point! Since my memory isn't too well, I can't remember what I wrote. I hope that I didn't overlook seeds when I mentioned nuts! Some people have a hard time tolerating the taste of flaxseed oil, so I always suggest using the seeds or using nuts to get the healthy oils they need. In fact, flaxseeds are a nice addition to waffles or pancakes -- gluten-free, of course! Best wishes, Carrol foxhillers@... wrote:Carroll We've seen improvement in Charlie's cognitive function and seizure frequency since starting him on 3T flaxseed oil , 3T ground flaxseed well mixed into homemade yoghurt daily. Guest guest
Simon - I JUST read this a little while ago: " There are also enzyme products out there that digest stains. The Dutch have used ox-gall soap for decades (Ossengall Zeep) -- available at some specialty stores. And papaya enzyme is currently available in some health food stores as a laundry additive. " Might be worth a try. Good luck! Virginia STUPID SOAP QUESTION > > Yesterday, my USDA inspector was examining a liver and made the comment about the Gall Bladder Bile is great for cutting grease and is sold for soap. Has anyone ever heard of this? She also said the Gall Stones sell for big bucks in Japan, for an aphrodisiac. It this is true on both counts, I may have a new product to sell.:-) > > Your thoughts. > Simon > SOLAR-PLUS > FULL LINE ALTERNATIVE ENERGY PRODUCTS > 805-570-3298 > www.solar-plus.com > --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Krysti, It could be something minor like hemorrhoids, and nothing at all to do with scoliosis. Putting off seeing a doctor will only make it more expensive to treat in the long run. Sue > > Hello All!! I am new to this group. I have come looking for comfort and > advice. Guest guest
Folks, one more time: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to trim your posts. This digest was at LEAST 2/3 old news, some of it repeated several times. Some folks get kicked off forums for not trimming! Larry, are you still the moderator? Also, Udo's Oil Blend is has the right balance of Omegas 3 and 6. It shouldn't be used for cooking. Martha
