Guest guest
Donna, optic neuritis was my first symptom also, in the form of double vision. I had it 11 years ago for three months and then 6 years ago for two, so MS was progressing slowly in my body. I don't recall the exact number, but a high percentage of people manifest optic neuritis as their first MS symptom. I was officially diagnosed with MS about seven months ago, when it affected my legs. LDN has decreased my urge to pee, but I think most of my symptom relief is due to going into remission. I do believe, however, that because of LDN I won't get worse. That's the real reason to take LDN--to prevent disease progression. I am grateful to have found out about LDN before becoming more disabled. ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Guest guest
-Hi Bestaunt, Fortunately, we had read up on this treatment and questioned our doctor about it. He is a young guy and had never heard of it, so he said that he would look into it and get back to us. Later that evening he called and my husband started the IV steriods. Now he is taking oral steroids (500 mg. for 5 days and then tapering off each day). His vision has returned enough so that he can read this print with his left eye.He still has nine days of steroids left. We have read that it may prolong the onset for a couple of years, but hope that your comment is accurate. Thanks for your info.
