Hi Everyone,

I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which I believe is autoimmune in

origin like MS. (How it originates - who knows.) My symptoms are

similar to MS in that I am dizzy often, have trouble concentrating,

have trouble walking and balancing and need a wheelchair to go any

distance, get exhausted after a little exertion, etc. I also have

stress incontience and a lot of morning stiffness. I feel better when

the weather is mild and my symptoms get worse when it is hot or humid out.

About three months ago I changed my diet to a paleolithic (no

bread/gluten or dairy/casein) diet without much red meat, and noticed

a big improvement in my symptoms, especially the confusion. I also

take magnesium, which helps a lot with the muscle stiffness, and

glutathione/undenatured whey protein supplements called ImmunoCal and

ImmunePro.

Currently I am pregnant, which could be helping too. (However I

did not notice the improvement until after I changed my diet.) I'm due

in about 6 weeks.

Anyway I called Dr. Bihari's office to schedule an appointment for

after the baby is born. (I am a 2 hour train ride away, but if the

treatment works it is worth it.) His office manager was extremely

helpful and said he would check to see if I can use LDN while

breastfeeding. (I don't want to hurt my baby, and would normally not

take medication, but this sounds so promising that I would like to try

it.) I am waiting to hear back from him.

In terms of side effects, I am sensitive to most all medication

and tend to get any side effect possible. People here have mentioned

a worsening of morning stiffness, and dizziness and trouble sleeping.

Has anyone found this to happen with a 3mg dose to start? About how

long did the side effects last for you?

Thanks for your help, and I'm so excited to have found this

promising treatment. It sounds a lot more logical, and safe, than many

other treatments that have been touted for autoimmune and immune

deficiency disorders.
