Obviously it is a cloudy day during rainy season here on Guam or I wouldn't even be trying to catch up on my emails, I'd be out in the water swimming to my heart's content! Must say it has been good therapy for me to be here- although my joints and neuritis have flared-up being back in this tropical humidity. Managed to take a short, little side-trip to Palau to snorkel in quiet lagoons and swim with dolphins...I paid for it with aches and pains after but it was beautiful there so i'll shut up now! :-)

BTW, for those who are using a wheelchair or scooter, Palua offers services that cater specifically to those who are disabled. There is an affordable van service called J'Vans (ph. 680-488-8866), hotels with ramps and elevators and the Dolphin Encounter at Dolphins Pacific, which offers two wheelchair platforms so you can still get in the water and enjoy the majesty and healing kindness of such amazing creatures. The man who started the facility is from Japan and he donated all the financing because two of his children are handicapped. He also helped rescued the dolphins at the facility who were snared in fisherman's nets and bound for the dinner table in Tokyo! And the chap who owns the van company is a liscenced healthcare professional who specializes in rehabilitative services. I thought I would put that info out on this board to remind us all that no matter how limited we feel, by whatever disease we are living with, it is still possible to get around this world! If anyone wants more info on Palau, or traveling in the Pacific region, feel free to email me personally. It is an amazing place worth the long flight to get there!

Final note for the day and then I am off-line while we go a'visiting family friends. Friday, m'dear,

Can I bribe you in some way to get you to mail me some Sorbolene-E Fragrance Free (the one that comes in the large jug and smells like Lavender) that sells at your Target in OZ? I'll repay the cost and shipping and then some. I have missed that lotion ever since we moved from Guam to Seattle. But my DH doesn't do layovers in Cairns anymore so he never gets a chance to get out of the airport to pick some up for me. I've never found another lotion that helps my dry skin as well! Or can you point me to a website that will sell me some via mailorder, please? For you mainlanders, Sorbolene E is a glycerine based moisturizer and while I was suffering the horrid dry skin of a thyroid disease it was the only thing that saved my sanity from the constant dry skin itchies! Hope you are all well. Those of you in Florida stay safe. Our thoughts are with you.

Best to all, Lara from Guam
