Guest guest
Hi everyone. I'm new to the group and new to Xolair as well. My name is Debra, I'm 27, and a stay at home mom to baby Logan whop is 7 months old. I've had severe persistant asthma since I was 3. I won't bore everyone with the medical history details since I'm sure everyone has a similar history. I just had my first injections yesterday and I'm very excited to see what it can do for me. I keep hearing stories about people who no longer need their prednisone, breathing treatments, inhalers etc. I can't imagine how awesome that " freedom " must feel! Hopefully I will be one of those success stories soon I am wondering if many of you experience headaches after your injections? Mine started about 2 hours after I got the shot yesterday am and hasn't gotten any better yet. It's at the back of my head, and goes down into my neck. It feels like a tension headache. I do suffer from migraines, but those are usually around my eye area so I don;t think this is one of them. Is this common? Should I be concerned or call my Dr? Anyone have a miracle cure for it? Thanks for letting me join your little group Wishing all of you an allergy free spring! Guest guest
Hello, I thought I would chime in here. I just got my first shot almost four weeks ago. I get one per month. About six hours after the shot I got very tired and a headache started. Mine was more of a migraine type, above my eyes. I am not really prone to them. The headache lasted for about 2 1/2 days and then slowly left. None of the OTC med's did much except to take the edge off. The headache should go away in a few days. My next shot is on Friday and I will see if it comes back. If it does, I hope it is not as severe. Hope this helps? > > Hi everyone. I'm new to the group and new to Xolair as well. Guest guest
Interesting. Headaches are one of the side effects I've seen listed for Xolair although they're one of the lesser side effects. I had headache too very similar to what you're describing but also had a head injury many years ago in the same area. The pain from it comes and goes but seemed to be intensified after Xolair. However, I also had a sinus infection and cold so that might have impacted it. I don't remember that mine necessarily was associated with the same day or next day as the Xolair injection but it was during that time period. It might be just a coincidence or perhaps a combination of several things coming together at the same time. --------------------------------- Finding fabulous fares is fun.
