Guest guest
I know there are a few members of this group who fit that description. In the International Archives of Allergy and Immunology vol 144, No2, 2007 there is an article published from Brazil about Administration of Anti-IgE to a Churg Strauss Patient. (unfortunately it is not available for free online... but I am trying to get it from my local medical research librarian) Ok my question... When you are on Xolair is your CSS better controlled (asthma wise? otherwise?) Are you on less prednisone or other chemo therapy agents because of the Xolair? I ask this question because I was on Xolair and it was beginning to work. Then we got the diagnosis of CSS and I was immediently taken off Xolair and after testing put on rather high doses of pred (80mg) and started on cytoxan when that did not work. I am currently trying to come down on my prednisone and 'tanked' asthma wise at 30mg of pred -- I have now been put back up to 40mg for another month and then we attempt a 2-5mg taper per month for... forever.... or so it will seem. If my other CSS symtoms are under control and the asthma is the only thing keeping me on the higher doeses of prednisone; I was wondering if I should tap on my asthma dr's shoulder and suggest I go back on Xolair to try to spare my body the evils of prednisone. Ok.. advice, and links to any other research articles about this would be wonderful. thanks in advance
