Guest guest
the paperwork transfer went smoothly from the Fl dr's to my NY dr. I can continue on my injections to my dr in NY. That's awesome. Glad something went smoothly. My car made it to NY in one piece. However, the other day, the radiator died. It lasted a good 5 years, longer than my ex boyfriend and I. Come to think of it, the lifetime of my car lasted longer than he and I. Anyway, may the radiator rest in peace. It was a good hard life for it to keep my car going. Lord knows, I feel like I live in my car, I drive to so many places. I got that fixed and on my merry way. Yesterday was a set back though. There were no other cars at the house I could borrow to get to town. I had to walk to town. It's colder in NY. The evil candy was not kind to my hips, legs, knees. ok, to sum that up, it was not kind to my body. The walk was not an easy one. There I am, walking 3 miles to town. I was enthusiastic because it was a golden opportunity to get some exercise. (Although having 2 small nephews run around, planning pirate battles...{pirates of the caribbean} that is exercise in itself.). I took a mask and my albuterol with me bc of the flowers, grass, etc. I took my time bc of the pain. The smell of cut grass. Not a good thing. It may be to non allergy/asthma people but not to me. I made it to town. In one piece, well, that's debatable. A store owner was nice enough to set me up with a hot cup of tea to get myself situated. He spoke to me about Fla (he moved there once, only to return....that seems common and I will fall into that line as well within a year). He told me which transit bus to take back. Thanking the man, I was off. The bus stopped 2 miles outside of where I needed to be. SO I walked again. The nebulizer, which I call Neb, my best friend these days, we spent quality time together for the latter half of the day. This is off topic on xolair but no stranger to the asthma world. Albuterol: Some pharmaceuticals are discontinuing the manufacturing of some of the MDI's and replacing it for another MDI. IT is still albuterol just in a smaller dispenser. It is to be CFC free. I am now on proair. I believe Ivax makes in instead of like warwick, glaxo, etc It is smaller, as stated above. But I also feel it comes out of the dispenser slower. Maybe it is me and my head doing a head trip. I feel like it is not as effective. Of course when I took it, I was doing laundry for my folks and the basement is moldy and musky and I had that excursion to town. I felt winded, my chest was tight and it felt like 50 pounds was on my chest. I took the inhaler but again, it seemed not to dispense as quickly. It was more gentle, slow and a lighter mist am I completely off? I go to the dr Monday. We'll have a litany of things to discuss I also started here the south beach diet, except family does not support it. I will do the best of what I can but they sure put obstacles in the way. I will do the best I can, then go full throttle when I return to Florida. I don't believe in diet pills. I feel if they were to truly work, the whole world would be skinny. It is not a miracle in the bottle. Human effort needs to be a contributing factor. Hope all is well. It is cold in NY. 59 degrees this AM. I got use to the 90 degree weather. Oh well, time to bundle up. Where are the gloves, ear muffs and scarf? LOL. No seriously. Time to get the flannels out. Take care, thanks for reading. Hope everyone is doing well.
