CLOVE OIL... For pain... Mouth formula in the files for healing.

I did a dumb thing and bit into a piece of hard candy and now I have a trauma injury to a tooth and it is now infected. The dentist gave me Amoxicillin for the infection and told me to take tylenol for pain. Unfortunately tyleonol is not working at all for my toothache. Are there any herbal remedies for toothache pain? Please help!

Yes...but...;-)

A single drop of clove bud for an emergency (tooth pain) is usually

fine but I would also address the infection in different way and repeat

the use of clove as little as possible. It's a big time skin and mucous

membrane irritant and should be used only in an emergency as repeated

use can lead to sensitization, gum problems, and dermatitis. Dilutions

of 1% and lower would be considered in a safe range. Peppermint is also

good for pain btw and you can make an effective herbal rinse to help

the infection and the discomfort.

Where is the infection? Tell me more ;-)

I have to see the formula for mouth you referred to also. I think I

recall seeing it though a while back- does it contain echinacea? I

think I liked the look of the formula but can't recall the specifics

now.

My toothache is in my molar. If it does not clear up in a week the

dentist wants to do root canal and I realllly don't want that, sounds

very painful and expensive.

I would not be surprised if tea tree oil also killed the

delicate nerve as well...

Blessings!

Anything for a toothache? -Emergency-----

Depends on the source of the toothache. If it's from in infection (like an abscess) at the root I'd say pack it with bentonite clay to draw out the infection and also take bentonite internally. If it's from a cavity (decay) and the pain is coming from the nerve you may be able to numb the pain with garlic or clove oil. I don't know how permanent that last suggestion would be.

Thanks, this is for my son, I gave him oil of Oregano, oil of

Peppermint, Tea Tree oil, and Cayenne tinture, with some Q-tips. I will

find out tomorrow which was most effective.

Alternate with Tea Tree oil. Worked for me for over two years before the

tooth finally decided that it definitely wanted to come out. I don't

think even packing morphine into that hole and then smoking opium would

have deadened the pain. One of the worst nights I EVER spent.

Cloves and mullien. Make a tea and swish with it. White Willow Bark too

Do you mix the bentonite with water and make a paste? Do you just put the bentonite in powder around the tooth?

Doing it can be tricky, but I've done it. You take powdered betonite and moisten it with a little water. Cover a small piece of gauze with the clay and lay the gauze across the gum above the sore tooth. If you used enough water it should stick. It takes practice because it might keep sliding. The piece of gauze has to be cut pretty small...maybe an inch. Once you get it to stay on the gum, keep it on overnight. I've drained gum abscesses with this method. You may have to do it everynight for a week or so. Just practice.

Hello,

Would you please explain how can you apply bentonite to a tooth? How can you pack it with bentonite?

Do you mix the bentonite with water and make a paste? Do you just put the bentonite in powder around the tooth?

I tried to do this once and I couldn't. Well, I tried using clay because I never found bentonite in powder, but only the liquid.

I stil don't see it. You can swallow it, especially while sleeping. Besides, I can't put anything into my mouth because it makes me fnauseated.

Is there any other method?

You mean swallow the gauze? I've nevr done that. At worst, it's fallen out during the night and is on my pillow.

Before I started using the gauze I just put the moistened clay right on the gum. Of course eventually your saliva washes some of it away, but I did that every night for a long time. So you can make a gob of clay and spread it across the gum. You can also "wear" it during the day and keep reapplying it .

Then try some clove oil on a q tip and swab the tooth. See if that works.

Clove oil will help with the pain. The clay will take away the infection, if an infection is what's causing it. The clay doesn't take away the pain. It takes away the cause of the pain. If it's a cavity or nerve damage, the clay probably won't do much. If it's an abscess or bacterial infection it will help immensely.

I’ve had a touch of insomnia and put

a homeopathic lozenge called Moon Drops under my tongue and awoken hours later

with it still there! No, I can’t imagine swallowing a gauze bandage

in my sleep. Sorry…I hope you can find another solution.

don't see it. You can swallow it, especially while sleeping. Besides, I can't

put anything into my mouth because it makes me nauseated.

In this case, do you think that I can create a paste with clay and water and put it on the abscess, or should I apply the clay in powder on it?

I don't understand the question. I'd apply clay moistened with water onto the abscess. Without the water it isn't going to stick. I'd make a paste and smear a big gob of it over the gum. I used to do that before I read about the "applying clay to the gauze" method. I had an abscess about a month ago. It was big and painful. I smeared the clay all over that gum area and left it on overnight (using the gauze). I'd sometimes apply it during the day when I wasn't going to eat or drink anything for a couple hours. The abscess started going down in a couple days and drained and was gone in about a week. I used dry Aztec clay (bentonite) moistened with water. I also drank liquid bentonite (Vit-Ra-Tox) about 3 times a day.

You don't want the paste too runny, rather more like just moist.

Exactly. You don't want it real runny or it will disappear in a few minutes. You want it pasty enough to stick for awhile. You have to play with the consistency until you get it right. I have put it on at night without the gauze and it was still on my gum the next morning. It's a matter of getting the right stickiness and texture. And it WILL pull out infections once it gets time to work. That's why it's best to leave it on overnight. Just a half hour here and there won't be enough time.

No, make a paste, a rather dry one at that, and apply it to the abscess.
