Guest guest
I had an appointment to get my shots tomorrow but was called today and told their office has now decided I don't need to get the shots in office and I may self inject at home as I did in the past. Evidently they have received more information from the FDA to initiate this latest change of heart. And they know I have recently reviewed the risks, resigned the paperwork for them (releases) and have epi pens and instructions on how to handle anaphylactic symptoms. So, yippee, but wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar (docs waffling on policy) in the wake of the black box issues? She said this may change again but they had dropped the 2 hour waiting period and felt that as I have almost 2 years experience self injecting with no problem, this was the right choice for me. I just wonder how other docs are dealing with this. Leena
