Guest guest
Hi, There is nothing in the mechanism of how xolair works that it could induce acne. Are you on pred? Pred does cause acne and it may only be materializing now. It can give you the really cystic kind. (who has been there.....) __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I too get terrible acne, very painful. For me it is completely caused by Prednisone. Prednisone even lists it as one of it's adverse reactions, lucky me, I get all the negative reactions from the evil candy! I'm 60 also. I can not breath either. I take 11 other meds besides Xolair, but I am doing so much better since Xolair (I've been on it for two years). Guest guest
Thanks for all the replies. Yeah, I had a coarse of Pred about a month ago and it was about 2 weeks ago I started getting these deep painful cystic sores on my face. I don't take Pred unless I'm really a mess but these sores are really a high price to pay. Anyone know how to get rid of them fast? An antibiotic maybe? Naturally I'll discuss this with my doctor but my whine list gets so long I can't cover it all at once. > > I've been getting some really nasty acne sores on my face recently, > like some of the worst in my whole life, and I'm 60 so it seems > unusual. > > Could Xolair have anything to do with this? >
