Guest guest
I have been on Xolair since September 2003 but never asked just how many xolair shots I have had. I got my 93rd and 94th shots today. Did any of these 94 shots hurt? Did I have any reactions? Have my arms ever been sore?. Nope, not once! I wish that everyone's experience with Xolair has been as pleasant and uneventful as mine have been these 3+ years. I have an interim doctor at the present time and he is also very picky. I am just getting over a horrible prostate infection that has had me running high temp's and on gobs of antibiotics. (Levaquin 500 mg) Even though all my vitals were normal, the doctor still came in and did his own exam just to make sure I was in good enough shape to take my Xolair shots. I believe that this kind of excellent care by my doctor(s) have been one of the reasons I have done so well. As for the new black box warnings........I wait 30 minutes and carry an epi-pen with me on the way back home. The new doctor will be here in July. Ironically, he is the one who prescribed xolair for me in the first place when I lived in another city. Do I think he will let me give my Xolair shots to myself at home? Not a chance! LOL!
