Can Xolair Cover Up Infection On Blood Tests?

While I was sick with an upper respiratory infect and cold about 3+ weeks ago my

doc drew blood (CBC and liver function) and all tests came back normal. It was

clear to her that I had an infection as well as to me and my family.

It's interesting that the " phils " (names of tests ending with that type of

syllable) like neutrophils (sp?) and others in that group that usually are high

in me came back normal. I assume it's from the Xolair.

That's what has me concerned. Does Xolair somehow cause something to happen

so that infection does not show up on blood tests? I know I've heard that about

steroids - that they can cover up an underlying infection but don't know if they

have any impact on lab tests.
