Guest guest
My daughter gets allergy shots in both arms and she nearly always has some sort of " site " reaction. Sometimes the spot is quarter size, sometimes it is half dollar size, sometimes she has a knot--in both arms! She uses caladryl lotion on the spots to keep them from itching and that usually helps. I've actually only had two bruises from the xolair and it was because a different nurse gave me the shots and she gave them to me too fast. uca79iii <bme1979@...> wrote: > > I always get a bruise the size of texas from the shots. No marks, no pain, nada, zip and zlich! Now, REGULAR allergy shots are a whole other ball game for me. I have been on them since 1958. I can usually feel a slight sting as the extract is going in. Most of the time it turns red for a few days around the injection site. I have had times where the redness and swelling was as big as a half dollar. Guest guest
I get my shots from a nurse at teh doctors office. She said that she takes it real slow so this does not happen. First time it kind of scared me because I was not used to get a shot that took that long. I would guess that it taeks her 30 secs or more to inject the stuff. Never had nay pain of brusing. Maybe slow it down a little. -----Original Message----- From: [mailto: ]On Behalf Of pyle456 Sent: Friday, September 07, 2007 8:08 PM Subject: [ ] Re: Answers from one our resident Xolair professionals I give myself my own Xolair shots and once or twice have done a poor job of it and bruised myself. Generally I don't have any problems. I had a lot more difficult time with allergy shots, especially when I got into my late twenties and thirties (probably due to prednisone, who knows).
