Guest guest
Would it help if you had names to give? I'm a self-injector and have been since March 23rd. I'm looking at a huge bag of old Xolair and Sterile water bottles that I've been storing under my sink. If I can figure out how to do it, I plan to soak off the labels, drill through the rubber plug, and put little lights inside that I can string up for Christmas! Or, inject colored water into the bottles - wish I could figure out how to make it bubble! Incidentally, if anyone is curious, I let a drop of the left-over xolair (I have to throw out half a bottle every 2 weeks because they send me 3 bottles of 150 mgs and I am to inject 375 mgs) fall on my finger and tasted it. It's mildly sweet - almost a slightly creamy flavor but that was just a drop or two. There! Tell the nurse about that one!!!! > > A year ago, one of my Xolair nurses was diagnosed with cancer and has > gone though Chemo and now doing well and cancer free. Guest guest
Doug, I certainly want your doc and nurse to use THEIR best judgment about your treatment and not mine. But you might tell them that I have been self-injecting for 4 years next month and have not had ANY reactions, nor have I grown a third eye or an extra toe or anything. I can't speak to how CArrie got her third eye; I blame that on pred myself, but you'll have to ask her! Guest guest
Hi, Doug, I got my third eye from the pred. I asked my doc if I could inject at work. I work in a hospital. I am a nurse. I work with other, highly compentent nurses and there is a fully staffed ICU with intensivists 25 feet away. No go. No way. No how. No chance. I stopped asking as the answer was always no. It's a responsibility/insurance/pants being sued issue C ----- Original Message ---- From: pyle456 <coachmac@...> Sent: Sunday, September 30, 2007 8:49:07 PM Subject: [ ] Re: My Xolair nurse Doug, I certainly want your doc and nurse to use THEIR best judgment about your treatment and not mine.
