Guest guest Posted October 3, 2007 Report Share Posted October 3, 2007 I am reminding the group that each individual has to do his/her own risk/benefit analysis any time a doctor recommends a medication. For those of you new to Xolair or just starting to consider Xolair, most of us here chose Xolair because it was our best hope of living a normal life and b/c we were not living well being steroid dependent. Doug, for example, had cataracts and diabetes and is now having no issues with either. I now have high blood pressure and osteoporosis thanks to years of living on pred (I'm not yet 40) and I have to take other medicines with fairly serious side effects to manage those.
