You are all so very kind and understanding. After many phone calls and faxes over the past couple of days, my Xolair prescription has been re-approved, at least for six months. I hope to have some sort of different insurance carrier by then. A friend has introduced me to an insurance broker who may be able to help me get a private plan that will cover me. Since I have not had a lapse in insurance, I may be able to get one that will work. It is scary looking at the rates online, because no one offers any rates better than 50% on brand name drugs, and I know that paying 50% of the price of Xolair is really high. Hopefully, the broker will have a plan better suited to my needs.
