Guest guest
Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'm not currently on Xolair but it's a pretty sure bet that next month I'll be started on it. I'm a 47 year old woman that developed life threatening inhaled allergies in December. I was diagnosed with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and am currently being tested for varying types of things like Wegners Granulomatosis, Churg-Strauss and a long laundry list of other things. Currently I'm being given neb Cromolyn since I'd developed an allergic reaction to all things steroidal and it is helping some. But I am leaning towards taking Xolair after my doctor brought it up during my last visit. And I have to thank you, I've been reading through your archives and discovered that I'm not alone, others out there are as sick with odd ailments as me and that I'd been given misinformation about insurance refusing Xolair therapy payments. Just got off the phone with my insurance company and they will cover it. Had I not known from reading here that sometimes it is a covered benefit I wouldn't have bothered to call the insurance company at all, I would have handed over the $500 - $1,000 bucks per month my pulmonologist said it would cost. Wikipedia lists it as a drug that no insurance companies cover. Thanks for the information, Suzanne ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ " Don't mess with me because I've sold cars, stolen guns and made grown men cry... " --------------------------------- Boardwalk for $500?
