Guest guest
Congratulations ! There is a decorating folder in the files section. It has a lot of great tips and advise. Jen and Luli (16mo) Left Tort - Right Plagio - Hanger Band Grad - CA tallulah jayne http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/j/jens5th/ It's Official Payton was casted today for her DOC Band. The insurance is covering it 100%. I have to take her in on the 11th to be fitted and then every week to re-adjust it. They did new measurements and it hasn't gotten better, not a whole lot worse though(from last month). I was pleased to hear that. So my child will be wearing a super spifey helmet while she learns to walk, I can't complain! Oh the best part...my little angel hardly cried. The tech said she was a rare find and that even with the little fussing she did it was no where near what most babies do. She only cried out three times and when we put water on her pacifier she was fine again. Can someone tell me how to decorate the band? I plan to paint it, so do I need special paint for that? ~~ AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com. Guest guest
I have a question... A friend of mine is getting her son banded soon too. She was told yesterday that his lymph nodes are swollen. He has Brac, not Plagio. Is there something linked between the lymph nodes and Brac? Thanks. > > i am so glad insurance is covering it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guest guest
I just got back from getting my shots. They told me that my new insurance plan had no problems covering my xolair and my newest shipment is on the way. Also, with this new plan, I have NO COPY! Yes, I have BCBS but a different group policy. This is what makes all the difference. It is all in the type and kind of policy and group you have My employer group uses Highmark BCBS out of Pennsylvania. We have to re-enroll every year. This year, they offered us several plans to choose from. I chose the new high deductible, lower premium plan offered for the first time. After the deductible is met, it pays 100%. I met it fast by having all my asthma and other medications filled the first 3 weeks in January. (I am also on a few other expensive things other than asthma meds.) They used Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy. With my old plan (Same BCBS) they used Medco Specialty Pharmacy and I had a 120.00 copay every 3 months. Guest guest
Hi Barbara, How old is your child? My daughter (8) was diagnosed in May and we completed a 504 plan since she did not qualify for an IEP. Still learning the " lingo " myself, but not sure if this is better or not, but it is what the school gave her before the end of the year. Now unfortunately, we have moved to another state and I am not sure how things will go. I hope all is easy for you! Good luck with everything! Guest guest
hi Kerri. Liz is 13. She is entering 8th grade. I expect cooperation from the school because they were the ones who encouraged us to have her tested in the first place. Good luck with your new plan! Guest guest
Thank you that is a good idea. I believe the school will be supportive, as the guidance counseler and school pyschologist were the ones to put us on this path to begin with. My only thought right now is to have in mind what you feel she needs to succeed in school that you want in her IEP. Since it'll be a new grade/new teachers this year, they may not be familiar with her. If she had some nice teachers last year, you might ask them to please jot down a few things that they think will be helpful for her IEP or just notes in general that they feel will be helpful to this year's teachers and include those at the IEP meeting.Good luck and do keep us updated. >> > Hi everyone.
