You are right, for almost all of us, it has been an easy experience.

Have you not read all the positive posts? There are only a few people

on this board who have had problems and most who have great success.

I have over 100 shots with NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM! Many of us have been

on Xolair for years with GREAT SUCCESS! Don't let the negative posts

influence your judgment.

If not for Xolair, I would probably be a much worse Diabetic. The

disks in my neck and back would have become so bad I would be

paralyzed today because of the gobs of Prednisone I would have to be

taking.

Relax, you have had only one shot. I have had two every two weeks

since September 2003.

And by the way, trust your doctor. If you have any fears about taking

Xolair, talk to him/her about it. If you still have fears, you have

every right to refuse to take it.

Um, many, many of us have had no problems ever with

the drug. Probably had the LEAST side effects of

anything I have ever taken.

Doug I was thinking the same thing. Most on here have

had no problems. For me it has been sleepiness and

weight gain. Even after a year of Xolair but I am

dealing with it. I have been so thankful for Xolair

these past few weeks because I am redoing my

living-room. So I have been dealing with paint fumes,

paint thinner fumes, sawdust, drywall dust, and mud

dust. I haven't had one problem. A few sneezes every

now and then but in the past I would be wheezing like

mad.

Another thing that I noticed recently was being able

to drink wine. In the past if I would drink any kind

of fruity wines or drinks I would have massive pain

down the back of head into my back. I had two glasses

of wine the other night and not one bit of pain. That

was a nice surprise. Usually when I drink I would have

to drag out one glass of wine over an hour or so to

keep the pain at bay but this time I didn't even think

it about.

congrats on starting xolair!!

yes, the shots are easy - i've had no reaction (unless you count

better breathing!) and i've been on the max dose (3 shots every 2

weeks) for over 3 years.
