Guest guest
i spoke to you off the board about this - i'm on long island, about 10 minutes away from you. my dr thinks the 2 hour wait is a bit crazy, and allows me to leave right after my shots. my dr is in stony brook - i've been with her for 17 years, since i was about 15. if you want her name/number, let me know. since my initial IgE was over 700, i'm on the max dose, 375 every two weeks. i had some results from the xolair about 6-7 months after starting it, and got hte full effect in just over a year....and i've been pred-free for two years!! =o) heather > > It's funny but my only concern is waiting 2 hours after each shot at > the Doctors office. Guest guest
Hi " I haven't had to wait the two hours for a month now, evidently the FDA changed the rules. It's possible that you have to wait because you're just starting. I've been on it for three and half years. Good luck, Kathy midnj321 <midnj321@...> wrote: It's funny but my only concern is waiting 2 hours after each shot at the Doctors office. I have a very hectic schedule and travel often so I really can't see myself having over 2 hours of down time each week especially during normal business hours. I live on Long Island, NY and was wondering if anyone here has a Doctor or knows of one that doesn't require you to wait the full 2 hours after the shot? Also, my doctor has seen results in most within 3 months. When did you see results? I just REALLY want off the inhaled steroids/prednisone here and there and all the other meds I have to take just so I can sort of function. Guest guest
It's my understanding that there is no law that one has to wait. The FDA issued an advisory/recommendation that the wait time be two hours. For any other questions about the FDA advisory or the potential for anaphylactic reactions due to Xolair, please refer to previous posts. This is a dead horse that has been flogged on this board a number of times already. Thank you, and good luck!
