Guest guest
No, but I had seen something on the Net or in an ad that said something about Walgreen's specialty pharmacy. I'm getting old and cannot remember where I see or hear some things--I just know I have heard (seen) it somewhere. It will be interesting to see what their charge is. uca79iii <bme1979@...> wrote: Since I changed to a different BCBS plan, they will be using Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy instead of Medco. I didn't know that Walgreens had one. Anyone else get their Xolair from Walgreens? Doug Group founder --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. I'm paying @40.00 per treatment, and I go for injections every two weeks. So far, they've been fine. I also have a $30 copay for every office visit. Guest guest
A year ago at this time (almost to the day) my pulmo and I agreed that I would go on Xolair. It took several weeks of wrangling (mostly to get a nurse to train me at home) and during that search period I came across Walgreen's specialty pharmacy. I talked to the pharmacist directly and he did say something about their specialty pharmacy having it and gave me forms to fill out. I never did go through with the Walgreen's pharmacy because Cura Script **finally** got the medication and shipped it to me. Currently it's shipped to my house which is very handy but I'm always concerned about it because the drivers do not follow directions and neither does CuraScript. I don't want to go through the hassle of changing pharmacies and neither does the doc so I'm continuing on with CuraScript. At one time a family member was on Copaxone for MS. The nurse who " trained " him at home on the injections said " oh, no, you can't buy this at a drugstore - this is very specialized " but sure enough, about 2 months later I found it at Walgreens (regular drug store near our home) and bought it there. Sometimes healthcare providers do not know all the options re specialty pharmacies. > > Since I changed to a different BCBS plan, they will be using Walgreens > Specialty Pharmacy instead of Medco. > > I didn't know that Walgreens had one.
