(I can only say that because I had to wait > 2 years longer than you guys did to get my hands on Xolair!) Symbicort, IMHO, is way better than advair since you can dose yourself with it multiple times a day, use it as a rescue med etc....the logic is that if you need rescue meds, you likely need more ICS so you kill 2 birds, one stone. Me like mucho...I also like a drug called Alvesco, an new ICS that only converts into active format once it hits lung tissue so you get less thrush. I use it instead of Flovent. It had smaller particles so it goes deeper. Me like mucho too! Figure it would run you about 100$. Costs here about 85$. who will be on pred until the cows come home since her adrenals are fried; who also receives flu shots + xolair on the same day (two in the belly flab, one in the arm) and lives to tell the tale.
