Guest guest
Saw my pulmo today for my " routine " 3 month follow-up since starting Xolair in March. The assistant greeted me with the news that from now on I could get shots in the clinic. Oh,ho,ho, NOT! I mean REALLY N O T !!! The doc was great - seems that (as already noted on this board) the fed drug admin has put out a lot of mumbo jumbo about Xolair in offices. She saw no reason why I need to come in nor did I so I continue with home injections. She must be one of the smarter docs around ... !!!! My numbers were up again based on PFT results - that means lung fuction is gradually getting better. Sure would like it to be excellent but per numbers have shown steady improvement. Hate those PFT tests - this time I griped loudly about it. Looks like other biologics for now are a moot point for me - methotrexateis way too dangerous. I'll be telling my rheumy I'll take Plaquenil ... assume there's no influence on asthma or allergies or Xolair with that. Anyone else experienced with this?
