Humidity, Heat and Hydration

This week has been awful for the humidity and heat in the Washington D.C.

area and we are expecting more of the same for the next few days. I will be

fine in the morning but by afternoon, I just feel like an elephant is on my

chest. I'm not wheezing, but definitely working harder to breath. In years

past I would have blamed it on allergies, but now I wonder after being on

Xolair for 10 months if it isn't allergic asthma as much as the physical

trigger of the humidity and heat. Add to it that I dehydrate faster in this

type of weather, and I am hurting today even though I have only really been

outside for 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there. I also didn't get much sleep

last night and I think that impacts my lungs too.

Guess I need to get my nebulizer out... bummer. At least I made it through

May and June without using it. I have used my rescue inhaler about once a

week but I was blaming that on air pollution and running around in a

convertible - LOL!!
