Guest guest
I injected my 375 mgs (3 shots) of Xolair Wed. eve. as usual. Two shots in the belly and one in the arm - myself - at home. [] This afternoon I suddenly noticed that one of the shots on the lower belly (under a roll of fat, admittedly) has a huge bruise - about 3-1/2 to 4 inches inches wide and maybe an inch vertically. It is warm to the touch but does not hurt. [b-)] No other significant bruises w/any of the other shots. I'm assuming I just somehow hit a blood vessel (???) I've never had a bruise like this before. With my very first shot in the thigh I had a much smaller bruise but that was just part of the learning curve. In the back of my mind the thought of infection is swirling a bit. However I'm on Avelox (maybe that's part of why I bruised?) and not too long ago had the one dose of methotrexate. Ok, I might be slightly overreacting. Is it best to just ignore it or put something topical on it? Thanks!
