Guest guest
I've been on Xolair for about two years for whole-body hives, 375/dose at 8-week intervals. I've gained almost 20 pounds in those two years and my endocrinologist cannot figure out why except perhaps because of an undeclared/previously unknown side effect of Xolair. Has anyone out there in groupsland suffered a similar effect?
Guest guest
I have had the same problem. Getting it off is proving to be next to impossible. I lose five then gain 2 back, lose some more and gain it back. If I don't work out everyday it comes back on immediately. Very frustrating. --- In , " principalvp " <margeymjm@...> wrote: > > I've been on Xolair for about two years for whole-body hives, 375/dose > at 8-week intervals. I lost 35 pounds the year after I started the shots. Although, it could be that some people do gain weight from xolair. Each individual can react differently to medications. This is a question for the medical professionals in the group to answer. Let's hear from you about this pro's Doug Group foundr
Guest guest
While I have not gained any weight in the year and a half I have been on xolair, I had not lost any either, even while cutting back on portions. In the last two months I have finally begun losing and really must lose 10-15 pounds at least because of another condition. I got my flu shot and pneumonia shot today. Have all of you who take them gotten them? I know some of you can't take a flu shot because of reactions. But they have really helped me through the years, especially when I was still teaching. HAVE A GREAT WONDERFUL DAY--AND WEEK. The weather here right now is beautiful although we could tolerate some cooler weather and some rain. Guest guest
I have been able to lose weight as long as I keep up very good habits. Otherwise, I have not found that I am gaining weight except when I take prednisone. Guest guest
The question of Xolair-related weight gain has come up before on this board. If you enter " weight gain " in the search window for the website, you'll pull up previous messages on the topic.
