Greetings,

First of all, don't strain your vocal cords to talk. Even whispering

can be bad on them. It could cause permanent damage. I have a degree

in vocal music and this is the #1 thing they taught me to tell my

voice students and choir members.

I highly suggest you see your ENT (Ear Nose & Throat) doctor.

Remember, I am not a doctor, just a patient like you. I don't think

that the xolair is the problem. In the 4 years we have not had anyone

ask about this.

If anything, xolair should help you in sinus and throat allergies.

I have been on Xolair since September 2003 and have not had any side

effects either.

A few weeks last year, I was hoarse all the time and couldn't sing.

I am a music minister and my singing voice is crucial!!!!

I went to my ENT and he said he was glad I was on Xolair for my

allergies. He said my problem was from it being very dry in my area at

the present time and I needed to drink more water and hydrate my vocal

cords more. I did and now I am fine. This might or might not be your

problem so make an appointment with him/her asap.

Let us know how things go :)

As a matter of fact I have always had that problem ever since I began

receiving these injections. It is good to know Im not alone in this.
