Guest guest
Can't remember seeing this discussed much here before. Do others out there feel really wiped out after a pulmonary function test? This time the tech made a slight error - forgot to turn on the gas cyclinder that apparently powers some aspects of the machine. Three times my air intake was blocked - and it wasn't supposed to be at that point! This was the shorter version of the tests too. By the time I got through I coughed hard for at least 30 - 45 mins while waiting to see the doc. My blood pressure shot through the roof. My tongue, throat, and chest were sore and burning and I had the faint taste of blood for 3 or 4 minutes. They did NOT give me the substance that triggers an asthma/allergy attack either - they already know I'm severely allergic! I can remember being extremely fatigued and light-headed and not quite mentally all together before but this was the worst. I even coughed up a teensy bit of mucous - felt like I had just had some sort of weird asthma attack. Wonder if the sinusitis being active influenced the way I felt? This is my third test since Oct.
