Guest guest
Mike, Glad you had a all around good experience on your first shot! I think most of us do. But once you've been through it takes a lot of the apprehension away. Your right about the painless thing. Especially when you get a good nurse. Another shout out for Team X! Hoping you have a continued quick response! I had my 5th shot last week and its been like a new life for me. Less inhalers, nebulizers and no Prednisone aka " evil candy " Mike Schepps <schepps@...> wrote: I got my first shots today. No side effects and the lady that gave me the shots has been doing it for at least 3 years and the first thing she told me was " She has never had a reaction and for me not to be the first " . Also, I was very suprised in how painless the shots were. I have read that the medicine was very thick but I did not feel a thing. Also, today just happens to be a Ozone Alert day here in Dallas tx and I am usually in rough shape during these type of days BUT today I have not had a single issue and have not used my inhaler once. Hope this is the sign for good things to come with the med. GO " X "
Guest guest
Congratulations on your first shot. I think whether or not it hurts depends on who gives it. I will only let one nurse give me my shots because she does it very, very slowly and my family cannot even tell where the needle prick is! And I never have pain afterward, nor have I had a reaction and I have had a year's worth of shots, now. I have been helped by xolair--immensely. Guest guest
I got my first shot yesterday (Friday), given by the Doctor, and nothing:-))) No itchy, red marks, no anaphalxis of any degree. And...I've been trying to get a doctor to put me on Xolair for over a year! I'm celebrating. Oh, I should mention only half of the 300 mg does was given, but next shot will be at 300 mg. Plus, I purchased an MS450 Swirler someone on this sight recommended, which should be delivered by the time my next shot is due...no more hand-mixing. Now, we'll wait and see how things progress. Glad to finally be one of you guys (as we say in Northern NJ)!!! Marie
