Guest guest
Hi Nan - so sorry you had that reaction. I'm wondering how long you've been on Xolair - perhaps not yet long enough to be effective? For some folks, it can take as long as a year to see a response. Food anaphylaxis involves IgE so once the Xolair has become effective , you would expect the chance of an anaphylactic reaction to be greatly reduced. Testing may or not be useful while on Xolair - see the previous posts on the subject. I'd go with your doc's recommendation to do it in spite of the expense since it sounds like you had a serious reaction to the peaches and you may be at risk to similar reacitons to other allergens. Good luck - Fran > > Had my Xolair shot Sat.
