Guest guest
Earlier this week I interviewed for a job at the local free health clinic (everyone cross your fingers). They have a pharmacy there. I saw all the standard asthma meds in stock. The director said that she has no problems getting meds donated from the pharmaceutical companies. Free clinics only serve folks living below the federal poverty level. She said that any doctor should be helping his/her low-income patients do the paperwork to get their drugs for free - that the companies are really good about it but often doctors don't want to spend the time on behalf of their patients. So, if you or a friend or family member cannot afford your meds, insist that your/their doctor work with them to get their meds at a discount or free amount. If you're hitting your head against the wall, you might seek some advice from the pharmacist at your local free health clinic. Addy
