Maybe I should have gone to another allergist? Our pulmo did the same for my son! I would have been concerned if he hadn't done any tests! In addition to the tests you have ordered, ours also ordered a Pulmonary Function Test! In my opinion, I would rather have a doctor that will do some tests and treat accordingly than to have one that does none and just wants to flop from one med to the next! Guest guest
Hi, Yeah I believe it to be like this the world over and quite frankly I would be quite concerned if they didn't take these tests as it can show any differences from previous test good or bad or I should say for comparison , your pulmo will probably talk to you about drugs on the next visit once the test results come back so she has a good idea on your treatment for the future but then again she could talk drugs first and treat you for what your chest xrays looked like a couple of years ago and either not give you the appropriate medication or not enough of the correct amount of medicine and then you would really be in dire straits, so what would be worse? believe me when I tell you this pulmo is looking after you properly. Guest guest
My allergist/pulmonologist discharged me from her care because my asthma was too severe for her and I was Xolair for only 1 year and she took me off of it because my ashtma wasn't improving (even though my husband's insurance company was willing to cover me 100% with no deductible!) I was referred to a respirologist in March 2007. She told me not to change anything in my meds (even though I have tried unsuccessfully to get off the evil candy). I have had a sleep study, CT scan on my lungs, ekg, 3 different sputum samples for testing, and full pulmonary function tests. I go back to see her in 2 weeks and she will have the full results and will hopefully be able to shed some light on where I need to go with my meds. Good luck...it sounds like your new doctor is being very thorough! Pamela --- In , " royalashtonvp " <Oneroyal@...> wrote: > > After years of disliking my allergist, I went to a pulmonologist. Guest guest
Pamela - glad to hear you've got a new doc who's looking at additional possibilities. Best of luck and let us know how it goes.
